Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 October 2026
Spot the Threat is a free workplace cyber awareness simulation. These terms cover playing the game, sharing its link and using your downloadable guide.
Purpose and limits
The game is provided by ThreatScene Greece MAE for general learning. Scenarios and example organisations, messages, websites and accounts are fictional. Any similarity to a real organisation is coincidental. Do not visit or contact addresses shown inside a challenge.
Your score reflects the choices you made in these scenarios. It is not a certification, an employment assessment or proof that you or your organisation are secure. Follow your organisation’s actual policies and reporting process in a real situation. The game does not replace professional advice or ThreatScene’s separate training services.
Using the game
You may play for personal learning or as part of an internal team awareness activity, share the game link and keep or share the learning guide with its ThreatScene branding intact. Do not sell the game or guide, remove ownership notices or present the content as your own. Third-party materials remain subject to their own licences.
Do not interfere with the site, attempt to access other users’ data, use the game to send spam or misuse its sharing functions. Invite people appropriately and respect a request not to receive more invitations. Do not enter real passwords, customer records or confidential company information.
Progress, scores and availability
Your first submitted response is scored. Practice attempts help you learn and do not replace that score. Saved progress belongs to the browser where you played; clearing browser data or changing devices may remove access to it.
We may correct content, change challenges or temporarily suspend the game. We aim to make it useful and accurate, but do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free content. Nothing in these terms removes rights or limits liability where the law does not allow it.
Privacy and sharing
Read the game Privacy Policy before playing. You choose whether to save progress, download a report or share an invitation. Sharing services, email apps and external sites have their own terms. An email invitation opens in your email app and needs you to send it.
Questions and updates
For questions, mistakes or concerns, contact ThreatScene and mention Spot the Threat. These game-specific terms govern the permissions described here. ThreatScene’s main website has its own Terms of Service.
Greek law applies, subject to any mandatory rights you have under applicable law. Updates will be dated on this page.
